Caregiver / Medication Tech

Courtyard at Mt. Tabor, Portland’s premier Assisted Living and Memory Care Community for seniors, is searching for caregivers to add to its care team.

Activity Assistant

Our warm and friendly Independent Living Retirement Community is seeking a creative, vibrant and organized individual to assist our Vibrant Life (Activity) Director.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

*Willingness to serve our residents with the utmost respect and consideration.

*Lead residents in a variety of games and be willing to teach a class on a subject that interests the residents.

*Assist with set up, take down and implementation of small and large events.

*Participate in community outings, as well as activities within the Plaza Community.

*Occasionally transport a resident to or from a doctor appointment.

*Ability to perform clerical and computer work, as needed.

* Must have a Class C CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) or be willing to obtain one as soon as possible at company expense.

*Must be willing and able to drive a 25-passenger bus, as needed.

This is a part time position of 25-30 hours a week. Days needed are Wednesday-Saturday.

Cook – Part Time

Calling all cooks we are looking for you! Come join our culinary team and help make a difference in the life of our residents. This individual must have a friendly, professional, and energetic personality and have a passion for improving the lives of others.

Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

*Must have 2-5 years of experience, preferably in high volume production kitchen with high food quality standards in preparation and presentation.

*Good understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques.

*Understands roasting, braising, and sauté techniques.

*Must be able to prepare soups, gravies, and basic sauces from scratch, as well as cooking of breakfast items to order.

*Knowledge of proper knife-handling.

*Follow department procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking of product.

*Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards; observe proper food handling techniques.

*Able to keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.

*Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Dining Room Server

Calling all Dining Room Servers we are looking for you. Come join our culinary team and help make a difference in the life of our residents.

We serve three meals, seven days a week. Meals served are breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus special events. Shifts start as early as 6:15am, and are generally concluded by 8:00pm. Short shifts of one or two meals are common. Servers may also be asked to serve special meals at events. Most positions are part time (20-28 hours per week.) Full time positions (30+ hours per week) are eligible for benefits after 90 days.

Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

*The responsibilities of the Server are to provide quick, efficient, pleasant delivery of food in the dining room, ensuring the quality of standards and services are being delivered.

*Serve meals and bus tables while maintaining a friendly, respectful, and courteous personality.

*Assure that residents’ assistive devices are appropriately stored, making certain that safety is not compromised.

*Set up and break down dining room tables and wait stations prior to and following meals.

*Clean equipment, furniture, appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer, and sinks according to schedule.

*Keep the environment safe, clean, and free of clutter.

*Participate in and attend all required in-service training and education programs as scheduled.

*Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned.
